Math 

The purpose of the math department is to deepen and extend our students’ understanding and knowledge of mathematical concepts.Students will experience math as a coherent, useful and logical tool that broadens and expands their ability to make sense of the world and solve complex and real-life problems.Our goals are to make math more meaningful and challenging in ways where our students can think critically, work cooperatively, explore confidently and communicate math ideas clearly.

Homework Expectations

 
Students are expected to spend 20-25 minutes on math homework 3-4 times a week.
 
 

Field Trips and Special Events

 
After school boost/tutoring available throughout the year for students in need of additional support in mathematics.

  • I have taught everything from kindergarten all the way through 8th grade (middle school is the best).

  • Received second Masters for Middle School Math from Walden University.
  • Fun Facts:  I didn't always want to be a math teacher. In fact, in 8th grade I decided I wanted to be a clown and learned to ride a unicycle, juggle, walk on stilts, and make balloon animals.
